Board appoints new president and vice president
The Australian American Chamber Of Commerce Pacific Northwest is excited to announce changes to the composition of it’s interim board, ahead of next year’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM). Martin Gorman has been officially appointed interim president, replacing Len Rein, whom is retiring after over 20 years of service to the community. The board wishes to recognize Len for his support and leadership of the Seattle community over the years.

Aussie Super Bowl champ reveals NRL, rugby players keen to make NFL jump
Super Bowl champion Jesse Williams has revealed that “a lot” of high profile NRL and rugby union players have messaged him about jumping codes, to pursue an American Football career.
Williams wasn’t the first Australian to play in the NFL, but his disrupted career was by far the most inspirational, and continues to motivate others to chase their own dreams.
After a stellar career with collegiate powerhouse Alabama, which included two national championships, the defensive tackle was picked 137th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2013 Draft.
We welcome Wayne as our newest board member
Wayne Huggins is an avid outdoorsman living in Seattle with his wife and two dogs. Raised in Narrabri, NSW, Wayne spent 25 years with Fire Rescue New South Wales, retiring after 11 years as a Station Officer when he moved to the Seattle in 2016. Wayne is passionate about fishing, loves to build enthusiasm for the sport and is presently compiling six years of fishing videos to show case his experiences with kayak fishing in Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Florida, and Canada.
